NMIMS NMAT 2015 Notification and Dates (MBA Entrance Test)

NMAT 2015 Admission Notification:
NMIMS School of Business Management 
(SBM) announces admission to its Two 
Year Full -Time programs MBA, MBA-HR 
& MBA-Pharmaceutical Management at 
Mumbai campus and PGDM at Bengaluru 
& PGDBM at Hyderabad Campuses for 
academic session 2015-17.

Admission Process

Admissions to the above SBM programs are through NMIMS Management Aptitude
Test (NMAT) followed by Case Discussion (CD) & Personal Interview (PI) and
selection on Merit.
After the registration, students may choose test date within an NMAT™ test window period of 07th 
October to 20th December 2014.
Candidates may avail two retakes after first attempt, subject to fulfilling required 
procedure, and 
in such cases the best score which is the total score & its respective sectional score, which make 
the candidate eligible as per cut off declared by NMIMS, will be considered for shortlisting for 
subsequent process.
Admissions are also open for Foreign Students and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) through a valid
GMAT score. The separate registration link will be available in August 2014.

Seats Distribution

i) MBA Program in (Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Operations & Decision Sciences): 500 Seats
ii) MBA Human Resource - 60 Seats
iii) MBA Pharmaceutical Management - 60 Seats
iv) PGDM (Bengaluru Campus) - 120 Seats
v) PGDBM (Hyderabad Campus) - 60 Seats

NMAT-2015 Eligibility Criteria

MBA, MBA (Banking) and MBA (Capital Market)
Full time bachelors degree (10+2+3/4) (graduation) from a recognized university in India with minimum 
aggregate of 50% marks in the first attempt 
Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance 
learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply .
MBA HR - Selection process is separate 
Full Time Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% 
marks in the aggregate in first attempt.


Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance 
learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply
MBA (Pharmaceutical Management) 
Full Time Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3/4) in Pharmacy, Science, Life Sciences, Medical doctors MBBS, BDS, 
BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology from a UGC recognized University with minimum 50% marks 
in the aggregate in first attempt. Post Graduate degree in Economics, Psychology and Sociology can also
apply.
Candidates with B.Tech & B.E in Bio-Tech & Bio-Medical are also eligible to apply.

The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective
University/Institution awarding the degree.
Those candidates who have cleared their graduation by doing a part-time course or through distance 
learning, correspondence courses, externally, open school are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply. 
Candidates working in Pharmaceutical Companies for more than two years are preferred

NMAT 2015 TEST STRUCTURE

NMAT would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type questions). The 
NMAT will comprise the following:

i) Language Skills - 32 (No of Questions); Allotted Time 22 minutes
ii) Quantitative Skills - 48 (No of Questions); Allotted Time - 60 Minutes
iii) Logical Reasoning - 40 (No of Questions); Allotted Time - 38 Minutes

Total Questions: 120; Duration: 120

Each of the section has separate timing. The candidates should answer and review the question within the 
allotted time. 

If the candidate completes the selection before the section time gets over the remaining time of the 
previous section will not be added to the next section. Please note that there will be no negative marking. 
Please note that if the candidate is not satisfied by his / her NMAT score in the first attempt he / she may 
schedule for Re-take NMAT by visiting www.pearsonvue.com/NMIMS & logging in with the allotted 
username and password.

NMAT 2015 Syllabus
 
There is no set syllabus for the exam but questions will be asked from common subjects such as analytical 
reasoning and decision making, logical reasoning and data interpretation. The test will also include Basic 
English i.e. reading comprehension, verbal ability and verbal reasoning.

For appearing for NMAT online application has to be duly submitted and payment of registration charges 
need to be made in any of the prescribed mode within stipulated time. 
Candidates can apply for more than one programme/campus as per his/her eligibility by giving 
preferences.

 
The preferences once given cannot be changed later on.

 
There will be three radio buttons for registration; MBA (Full Time), PGDM and both (Full Time MBA and 
PGBM).

A candidate who wishes to apply for more than one campuses has to select the third option of both and 
has to pay registration charges.

The mode of payment will be as credit card or cash at bank or demand draft.

Pearson VUE will carry out the online registration & will conduct NMAT on behalf of NMIMS. Interested 
candidates have to visit the NMIMS website for online registration. For appearing for NMAT, online 
application has to be duly submitted & payment of registration charges need to be made in any of the 
prescribed mode within stipulated time.

The mode of payment will be as under:
